While New York's state minimum wage is $15.00 per hour, Long Island & Westchester Counties has set its own, higher minimum wage rate that applies to employees of all companies who work within Long Island & Westchester Counties. A minimum wage increase is currently scheduled in Long Island & Westchester Counties, but until the effective date of the state minimum wage rate of $15.00 will apply.
