Texas Printable Free General Labor Law Poster Posters Texas Payday Law, Title 2, Chapter 61, Texas Labor Code Poster

The Texas Payday Law, Title 2, Chapter 61, Texas Labor Code is a Texas general labor law poster poster provided for businesses by the Texas Workforce Commission. This notification is required for some employers, such as all employers subject to the texas payday law.

This poster declares that Texas employers must pay their employees at regular intervals. This ruling is grounded and underwritten by the Texas Payday Law, Title 2, Chapter 61, Texas Labor Code. More specifically, it holds that all employees must be paid at least as often as semi-monthly and that each pay period must consist, as nearly as possible given the constraints of time and life events, of an equal number of days.

The only exception to this rule are those employees who are exempt from the overtime pay provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. Such employees may be paid as infrequently as once a month, but they must be paid at the interval or a closer one. The Texas Workforce Commission encourages anyone with questions about the compensation of workers, especially the frequency at which they must receive such compensation, to contact the Commission for help or more information. The poster ends by stating that employers are charged posting this notice, in effect the poster itself. in a conspicuous place in their place or places of business.
