How To Use The Washington Wage Calculator
Washington Overtime Wage Calculator:
In Washington, overtime hours are any hours over 40 worked in a single week. Federal labor law requires overtime hours be paid at 1.5 times the normal hourly rate. Enter any overtime hours you worked during the wage period you are referencing to calculate your total overtime pay.
Washington Tipped Wage Calculator:
In Washington, tipped employees such as waitresses, bartenders, and busboys also have to factor their earned tips into their total wages, as well as any tip credits claimed by their employer against their cash wages.
Unlike many other states, Washington does not allow employers to take a tip credit against tipped employee's wages, and requires that tipped employees be paid $12.00 per hour regardless of any tips earned. Therefore, the wage calculator will simply append the total amount of tips earned to your regular cash wages.
