Rhode Island Printable Free Equal Opportunity Law Posters Rhode Island Discrimination is Illegal Poster Mandatory

The Discrimination is Illegal is a Rhode Island equal opportunity law poster provided for businesses by the Rhode Island Department Of Labor and Training. This is a required poster for all Rhode Island employers, and any business that fails to post this notification may be subject to penalties or fines.

This is a state labor law poster under the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights. It is an informational posting important for employers, employment agencies, and labor organizations within the state. It is a summary of the state and federal laws that prohibit discrimination in hiring, terms and conditions, promotion, discharge, salary, and other aspects of employment based on race, age, color, religion, sexual orientation, ancestral origin, sexual orientation, and or disability. The poster states a provision from “ban the box” law prohibiting employers from asking applicants about past criminal records. The poster also provides a space to be filled by the employer naming the commission for human rights representative at the time. It should be posted at a place visible.
